I could never learn these four lines:
Mummy and Daddy
I love you
Come to me when I call you,
Give me a kiss when I ask you,
Mummy and Daddy
I love you
-From a Nursery-Rhyme-Site .
I remember it very clearly. We use to have rhyming classes once a week in Nursery. We used to stand on our small chairs and repeat line by line with the teacher. She used to mimic each line with expressions and actions. I was usually good in all these except this particular poem. I really don’t know why. It was the first line which made me collect this poem from some Nursery Rhyme site today. I used to become very emotional with the first three words and hardly could drag through the next three. The other lines were totally own of my catch. Every week I used to wish that this rhyme shouldn't be a part of class this week.
I never knew that these four lines will one day steal my marks also but it happened. I was asked to recite the same poem for my final test and I could not. They must have cut my marks for that; I don’t remember though. The only thing I could not forget was that I could never memorize this poem.
